Festival planned in Searcy, Arkansas
Main Street Searcy, along with Chesapeake Energy Corporation, the presenting sponsor, will hold “Get Down ... Downtown - A Main Street Searcy Festival” Sept. 26-27 in Downtown Searcy and Spring Park. Friday night activities will take place in the downtown area with Saturday activities filling downtown and Spring Park.“Get Down ... Downtown” is a free, family event featuring musicians, artists, and vendors from throughout the Mid-South. Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, there will be bands playing on the main stage located on the east side of the Courthouse Square. There will also be artists, vendors and concessions in the downtown area on Friday night.

www.troycookjr.com ) is scheduled to perform Friday night following performances by local bands.Beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and continuing until the music stops Saturday night, musicians and various entertainers will be performing on two stages in the downtown area and on one stage in Spring Park. There will also be activities, concessions, craft vendors and artists set up along the Courthouse Square and down Spring Street. A children's area will be located in Spring Park during the daylight hours on Saturday providing a safe environment for inflatables, games, rides and kid-friendly entertainment.

The Sucarnochee Revue show producer Jacky Jack White informed me that the admission price at the Livingston Alabama tapings have been raised to $ 8.00 dollars.

The next live taping will be friday August 22, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Bibb Graves Auditorium at The University of West Alabama in Livingston.
